My son's first birthday is coming up soon! The theme is Dr. Seuss.
I've been busy making these cute little Dr. Seuss Trees!
I am so excited to show them off!
First of all, gather your materials. Different colors of tulle, neon pipe cleaners, cookie sticks (located on the wedding isle at Walmart), tiny rubber bands (I used those little girl ponytail bands), and some scissors.
I loosely wrapped the tulle around my hand about twelve times.
I cut the end, gently pulled it of my hand, and wrapped the rubber band around it twice.
Then I cut the loops.
And then I poofed it out a little.
To make the trunk of the tree, I cut a pipe cleaner in half
and wrapped it around the cookie stick.
Like so.
Then, I gently shoved the stick into the ball so it stayed.
I think they turned out pretty cute. I will add more pics after his birthday party!
